Lady Bug Boats are constructed along the lines of the original Brockway skiff, using modern materials and methods for a durable hull and finish.

The stem is machined from fir stock. The laminated plywood transom includes additional engine support, while doubled frames, plywood gussets, and epoxy-bonded hull sides create a straightforward working structure.

The plywood bottom is secured with marine adhesive and screws, then reinforced by three full-length strakes. Rails, exposed wood, hull sides, bottom, and interior receive marine-grade sealing, primer, and paint systems suited to hard use.
